Granato said Levi and Benson were both a little sore yesterday so they won't play. He also said there's a benefit to Benson to take a breath and take things in for a game. He feels he'll be better for it. If you recall, he did that with Quinn, Peterka and Krebs.

Jack Quinn is progressing well in his rehab. Kevyn Adams reminded reporters that even when Quinn is cleared to skate, there's a lot of work to do to be ready for games. The Sabres will be cautious.

Buffalo prospect Jack Quinn had successful surgery last night to repair an Achilles tendon injury suffered this week during training. The talented forward is expected to make a full recovery (timeline tends to be 4-6 months), but will miss at least the start of next season.
