Putting Travis Konecny on normal IR doesn't necessarily mean he'll be out for a long time. Because he's on IR, he has to sit out 7 days -- but it can be backdated. So in theory, the seven days could be up as soon as next Tuesday -- before the Flyers' next game on Wednesday.

The Flyers have placed Travis Konecny on Injured Reserve (upper body) and have recalled Elliot Desnoyers from Lehigh Valley. Desnoyers will wear #73 and make his NHL debut tonight against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center.
